Good morning, everyone!
It’s Wednesday in the Big Brother house which typically means a chance for tons of game talk, flips, etc. However, the week seems pretty set in stone right now. If Devens loses BB, he’ll either leave 4-2 or 6-0 and be the first member of the jury house.
Why 6-0? Well, that’s unlikely, but Dee and Angela were floating around the idea of voting against Devens since he’s up there, but I think it was more bored Tuesday talk than anything else. At this point, they’ve run out of things to talk about so when they’re all crammed in the house, they just ramble on about nonsense. I’ve heard the Yash NFL opening night story about 4x so far this season (he got tickets to MNF opening night but they knew he may not make it. Btw, really dumb to tell your friends especially since he replaced someone who got removed for that reason)
That basically summarizes yesterday other than the Drew/Melody story where they are clearly growing closer after he’s trying his redemption arc. He didn’t nominate her (low bar to cross), but even said he’d vote Devens out if he had to break a tie. There is about a 95% chance they hook up after the show, but about a 10% chance of it lasting once she gets fresh air flowing through her brain (same as Katherine last year).
And I know, to be absolutely fair, Drew is no Rylie. Drew actually seems like a genuinely decent human, but just someone who can’t really be trusted. That said, he’s also super young and is likely suffering from idol envy as he so badly wanted to impress Devens all season that he ignored more loyal friends on the side. I mean, that’s basically the plot of every movie based in High School.
Okay, time to work. I’ll be around if anything exciting happens!

lmao I def get where youre coming from, but I got a lot more confidence in his situations. For his previous gf, their plan was to just lay low and let him lie about having a gf to increase his chance of getting on the show and then he’d just play the game kinda chill on that front but then they decided that it would be a bad idea and they made the decision to go ahead and break up ahead of time to prevent that being an issue for him.
As for Melody, I really do think they both have real feelings, despite them both playing eachother regularly. Not to mention the last few days have really taken a hard turn and theyre suddenly acting like an actual couple. I commented elsewhere, but I saw some pretty compelling stuff that made me think they kissed in the pods 2 days ago and that was right before they really started getting intimate like this and talking about relationships etc

Julie posted the Blockbuster challenge. It really could be anyone’s to win. They have to climb in a ball pit, pull out their assigned color ball and run and drop them down into a tube. They either have to get 4 balls or whoever has the most in 4 minutes.

I just watched a video on Instagram of Devens wife Becca, she explains why she thinks Dee is possibly turning the way she is. She also says if they’re going to make Devens the first one to jury his kids are going to be really really mad because they should have just sent him home last week and he could have came home.

Yeah I totally get it. However I think he would be good in the jury. I wish Angela would go before Devens. actually If we have to consider people icons on this show I definitely don’t consider her one because she played very nasty last season and to me an icon is somebody you look up to. I agree with Angela having to go first I posted a little bit ago she is really really working my nerves today / tonight to the point where I want her sitting in the jury house enjoying herself with Lala. Devens and Dee should not have to babysit her and her craziness.
I agree! Devens staying will keep BB28’s gameplay exciting and entertaining all season long! Angela might be the one to cave, just like she did with Haley on the Lyric vote. We need a strong finish to make this season’s gameplay truly epic!
Love Devens ! He has the best social game but should not have volunteered to go up ! My first three are : Dee, Devens and Angela and I loved how Devens saved Dee.. Lets hope he wins and those two repair their differences…

Everyone that keeps up with Other online publications knows that producers of Big Brother were being written about because other networks were saying that its a well known fact in the industry that people who become famous on other reality shows come into a new reality show with a built-in Legion of fans. When BB producers invented that America would be voting each week for which houseguests should receive special powers, PRODUCTION KNEW FOR A FACT that Devens, Dee, and Angela would receive the first three because they walked in already stacked with fans. They new the new players had no one who knew them. The deck was instantly stacked in favor of the Icons
I missed most everything today but when I turned the feeds on a little while ago. I saw Dee and Angela talking with lala about the vote tonight and lala was saying that Devens has her back if he wins the BlockBuster.
Does this mean that they have worked out a deal to get lala’s vote to keep Devens?
Not that I would trust her but that would be good.
Lala did a deal with Devens this afternoon and they fist bumped to seal the deal. Not sure how much either one of them took it seriously.

I don’t really agree with Barret’s decisions, but he’s sticking strong with them and I respect that.
I should explain myself more here. If I was Barrett, I would keep working with the Icons for now to hopefully take out Yash and the other contenders. He’s at the bottom of both sides of the house, and he would have a better chance going further with Yash gone. Then, once that threat is gone, go to Dee and say “Do you really want to be sitting next to so and so at the end?” Maybe get something going. Yash isn’t the guy to take you to final 3, not to mention final 2.
Exactly. He is on the bottom with either group. Yash would much rather have Taylor and lala to beat at the end so he would use Barrett to get rid of Dee and then guess what, you’re next dude!

Devens really is a great guy. He’s not going to hold anything against anyone in this house. If he goes home, I know he will still respect everyone there.

I dont think its fake. Theres certainly an element of them both playing eachother and leveraging the feelings, but its easy to tell when shes actually playing it up and when shes not. Shes not as good at it as she thinkgs (at least to someone watching and not being targeted by it), but something happened in the last 2 days and they made a breakthrough and seem to be openly accepting that theyre in a thing together. I also saw some really compelling stuff that they kissed in the pods shortly before this happened 2 days ago and it was from that point on that they suddenly changed from being close to acting very couply

I think they missed it… Production was suddenly freeaakkkiinngg out with the cams trying desperately to get an angle on them out of nowhere and when they finally got one on her she was beet red and they were kinda awkward and they kept asking eachother “are you OK? You promise?” They smartly were all the way in the right corner of her pod where the in pod cam can’t see the and the other cameras can only barely catch whoever isn’t in the corner

Clearly Devens needs to win BB to keep the Icons alive and keep giving us the happy an positive season we have come to know and love… Then, one of the Icons must win HOH, put up Lala, Taylor and Melody with the plan to Backdoor Yash… He must go but any of them going is a positive. Melody does a lot of dirty work on Drew, and he buys it hook, line and sinker… Really cringe to watch… lol

I never even knew Devens and Dee were so-called Icons until I heard them introduced on BB like that. I have never seen Survivor in my life. I just saw how they were trying to run the entire season of Big Brother since week one, and production was providing fake safety powers to rig it for them. That’s when I first noticed this was something to do with the other houseguests being in Awe of them afraid to nominate them. It made this entire game show-reality show seem like trying to watch The Price Is Right or Family Feud where certain “favored families” were being given the answers to the questions and puzzles so they could win the money over the other family. Laws DO NOT ALLOW game shows where prizes are given to be rigged that way
If Yash would fix his attitude I would pull for him. He’s played a good game. But I don’t like the cockiness. I appreciate Devens self deprecation. Humble. Also love how none of the episodes even showed them stealing Drew’s hairbrush.
While everyone knows I am a Devens fan, I won’t argue production will make it a comp he will have a good chance at. He is by far America’s favorite player and they want people to keep watching.

Any objective and honest big brother viewer knows that no one other than Mallory had Barretts back. The icons were just using him as a vote and because they saw him and Drew were good buddies 95% of the down time inside the house. So if you get one then the other comes along. When they (the icons) blindsided Barrett and made the week turn suddenly into a lets evict Mallory instead. Barrett realized the icons were the most selfish untrustworthy people to side with. He promised Mallory he would avenge her in his goodbye message and he’s sticking to it
Exactly! You are 100% correct. Actually Angela’s paranoia rubbed off on Dee. Dee used Barrett big time. He worked for her to get the two to join with Mosh Pit and then less than a week screwed over Barrett. We all know he screwed over Drew but she has been screwing over Barrett at every turn. Putting Haley (a non-5 person Crossover) ahead of Drew to not be on the block and then choosing her to get more tries at the 1,000 episode. It is time for Devens to go…then Dee. She thinks she is running this show and hopefully she will be getting the boot soon. Drew is the comic relief because he is so stupid.
I think the reason I like Devin’s so much is he’s kind of cool calm collected and down to earth. Maybe I have my rose colored glasses on but he seems to stay out of the drama and genuinely loves the game. Regardless he’ll be in the jury and regardless good things do have to come to an end but if he stays wonderful if he doesn’t well they got a good icon out so I kind of get that. Just was hoping he was not the first icon out.
To be called icon you should have to EARN it yourself instead of being gifted a trip to the jury and beyond by production….this is big brother NOT SURVIVOR…

Thank you and neither did I. I don’t watch survivor so no idea who Dee was either. I think bringing in Icons or whoever they are isn’t a smart play. I think it would put an automatic red flag on them to begin with although it doesn’t really seem that it happened here till later in the game.
I think their survival has been because Devens is a natural at this game.
You would be absolutely right normally. The issue is Survivor is a VERY different game… its made for h******e gamers that study strategy for years before going on and play hard trying to make big moves. Big Brother is played much slower and many house guests are not gamers as much as just reality tv people. Bringing in two high quality survivor game players and on top of that two players with a preexisting relationship was always going to way outweigh the detriment of having an early target. If they brought back 2 more big brother players with angela, then the extra help could possibly be argued as warranted, but for the survivors… its a ticket to steamroll at least the front half
@Sonny Did you see just now? Drew talking to himself saying it has more logic to put Dee. That’s what I’m saying. He doesn’t know Dee and Devens are final 2. For him Dee is someone who could potentially go after him. It doesn’t matter if Devens could do the same. For Drew, Dee’s more dangerous.
But Dee didn’t volunteer. If Devens wasn’t completely stupid by doing that, he might have put up Dee. But now in his mind he’s getting a free pass to not upset his team.
Very good point. Devin’s is probably kicking himself however I don’t think that he thought there would be the rest of the house basically voting to evict him. I think he thought he would either win or be safe no matter what.
And I can also say there’s no way we will ever know if putting someone else up would change Drew’s game. There’s only one winner and everyone else in that house wants him out lol.

When the season started I had no idea who Devens was because I rarely watch Survivor.
But when they started showing repeats after BB I watched a couple of episodes and I saw exactly why they invited him to play BB.
His plan with the fake idol was absolutely priceless and it worked.
Your description is dead on and I don’t care what others say, he has outplayed everyone and if he wins the BlockBuster this week, I think he will still be there at the end!
tonight’s episode: The Deer Hunter: Big Brother Edition — One Chamber, Six Votes.
After going over the competitions that have taken place so far this season I think Devens probably has a 50/50 chance of winning BlockBuster.
lala has won an HOH and one Veto so she can win but I remember her struggling miserably in the Pickleball and VHS comps.
Could have been others but those two really stick out in my mind.
I think taylor has one win out of three or four BlockBusters so her record isn’t spectacular.
Devens has his HOH win, a Veto win and he did figure out the pattern to win his DPOV.
But I don’t think he has competed in anything else other than the HOH comps.
So while none of their records are stellar, on paper his looks as good or better than lala and somewhat better than taylor.
So maybe I will bump his chances up to 60/40 (but that’s probably wishful thinking).
And if I got anything wrong don’t go crazy on me. My brain is old and all this happened before I woke up this morning.
I wish we knew what the comp was. But if it’s untangling the ropes I fear he’s screwed.
I remember the ropes comp from previous years and it seems like I remember that people either picked up on it really quick or they just couldn’t grasp how to do it.
It seems almost like something they would do on Survivor, so maybe that will give Devens a little bit of an advantage.
I’m trying to think if there’s a rope type comp on Survivor but I can’t remember.
Deven’s size will be a problem for him if it is the rope untangle. I’m still rooting for him.
Lala may not be able to figure the rope out either.
Honestly, I would bet money that if that’s the challenge, she’s screwed!
Her problem might be all the surgeries she’s had making it hard to get down on her knees to climb around.
The rope comp I can see, they have done it several times and it would be fair across the boards… As to Lala she has pushed through the pain before, like the wall comp…just saying

Maybe one of those weird catapult ones. They always seem like they must be pure dumb luck to me. At least if you don’t get practice shots first.

If it is just random luck then it is a coin toss and his odds are lower.
Do we want this season to have a Survivor winner? The oldest winner? The alternate winner? The underdog winner? Everyone always wants their season defined by the winner. What do we, the fans, want?
I never need a “first of” any type of winner. I just want someone who deserves to get the win. Preferably strategic, social and competitive. This isn’t a matter of who I like because I don’t like most of them at this point. I’d say Yash would be the most deserving winner if he got there. Least deserving people who I would like not to be dragged to F2 are Taylor, Angela, Melody.
I actually want it to be The Devisive Winner. I really don’t like Drew. I can’t stand men who behave like they’re teens. (I think this was passed down from my parents and grandparents). I’d love to see him booted just because of that. BUT I’d actually like to see him battle his way every week and win it outright. I’d love that because it would lead to some great disagreements and discussions for years to come.

I do. I think all the talk about bitter jury and vote threats is just that. I may be being optimistic here (and let’s face it this cast have done nothing to make me feel that way) but I reckon we won’t see a really bitter jury again for a while.
I want the best player to be the winner.
Me too. I get so tired every year of someone needing to be the first of something. Or people voting someone based on gender, race, s*******y. Just vote on who played the best game! And I’m super annoyed with Survivor now that they’ve talked this season on how they have voting blocks. At this point I wish they’d sequester everybody away from each other so they can’t talk.

Sometimes “the first” winners are fine when it happens naturally. Here in the UK we had the first gay winner (Brian Dowling) the first transgender winner (Nadia), the first woman (Kate lawler), the first black man (Brian belo). I’m mentioning it because despite the country still being pretty bigoted back then the public do our voting so we really were voting them because they were the best ones of the season to play. But you’re right, it’s silly when they win BECAUSE they’ll be the “first” of something.
I don’t mind if it happens naturally. It’s when some in the jury decide they’re going to make it happen whether they played the best game or not that bothers me.

I just want the best player to win. To me so far this season has been Deven’s Period.
Also, everyone busting on Melody’s game, but I don’t really see any moves she could have made differently so far. Honestly, I would have been whining, crying, and screaming too if I had to play the hand she’s been dealt.
I don’t think we’ve seen what any of the newbies in the house might have been without the season being so icon heavy. I think without them we’d have seen different dynamics and reactions from everyone in the house, including Melody. Maybe the same personalities because you are who you are, but different groups and gameplay.
And before I’m jumped on, yes I absolutely agree that it’s partly the housemates fault for not putting in a concerted effort at the start to target and remove them.
I do wonder how this season would have played out without the three. Would Rome still there? Would the Red Corner have dominated? I feel like thy might have.
Looking at it that way I’d like to have seen a Rome vs Kamu situation. Or a dominant Hayley vs a clever Taylor. There’s so many dynamics that COULD have happened that we were cheated out of with the season of the icons.

I googled it earlier after reading this. They split early this year. Apparently she stayed with him longer than she would have because of fan expectations. Doesn’t seem any bad blood there. Looks like it was mostly her being a city girl and him country with obligations.
She might have ate him. But no seriously they broke up.
Drew is 22 years old. He is most certainly not super young. He’s an adult man who’s old enough to Vote, to go to war and fight, to be a father, to own a house etc.
Just because you’re legally old enough to do something doesn’t mean your maturity level is there.
I’m 50 and my maturity level is still stuck at 16 :).

Watching Drew and Melody late at night it’s just like “Kiss already!” But people think she may be playing him and I’m not entirely sure he’s not playing her. At least as far as wanting a romance. Last night she was saying she was going to sleep up there and he kind of freaked. Said he’d sleep on the couch and said people downstairs would hate them more than they already do. She finally left but I’m not sure she wanted to. Being in jury house together might be more telling with those two. But I agree they’d never last. (Although I also said that that about pretty much every BB couple that got married and had babies)
I didn’t hear the Yash tickets story. I thought that other guy just decided he didn’t want to do it. Is there more to that story?

I was watching Drew and Melody late last night as well and it just more than ever confirmed in my mind that she is using him for protection and that’s it.
When she no longer needs him she will politely kick him to the curb.
I’ve never watched the feeds before this year so I don’t know how it will work once Devens (but I hope lala) goes to jury. Will we get a feed for the jury house?
No. They will show us clips when the second person gets there being greeted by the first person and then that will continue each week as someone else joins them. They will watch a video of the comps from that week that show how that juror ended up in the jury house. They will have a roundtable discussion moderated by some former contestant when there’s 6 people in jury to see where their heads are at.
It’s a shame though since there’s been years the jury house must have been better viewing.
I would love to have a live feed camera in the jury house. They’ll never give it to us because we’d know where they were voting. But that season where Da’Vonne and Paulie got into it we got some of that fight.
I hate the jury house shows. They’re always so scripted and phony immigration.

Idk, he doesn’t have much power left this week, and none that could directly save her so there’s not much pressing her to lay it on thick right this minute. I get the impression she actually has feelings. The other night I think it was easy to tell the difference when she was turning it on and overtly flirting while trying to save herself from renom vs the normal flirting.
But last night I think they’d have kissed or been more intimate if it weren’t for the cameras. They’re very anti kissing/intimacy on camera, which was confirmed on Drew’s end by his dad on an interview. They were whispering in a way to beat around the bush about it, but when they were looking really close to kissing and her face was beat red, she brought up “1984” and looked around and said are they being watched and they both kinda sheepishly looked at the camera then chilled a bit. I think were this outside the house they’d be “involved” by now. Honestly I think drew is playing her to a greater degree than the other way around
