Alright, so Tuesday in the house and we have finals noms for the week, and all they were able to prove is that merely being on Survivor a few times doesn’t automatically make you good at Big Brother.
For reasons unbeknownst to me, and pretty much any fan, Devens decided to replace Lyric with Rome yesterday. I don’t think he quite understands what ‘splitting up a showmance’ means because that’s not how you do it. Now, Rome just has to win the Blockbuster against either Melody or Jason and he will not only come back, but come back with revenge on his mind.
Sure, him coming back would have been inevitable had he won BB, that part is true, and revenge, also true. But he wouldn’t have had a completely loyal partner to do it with. The only saving grace for Devens is that it’s still super early in the game, so a duo is far less powerful now than they are when there are 6-8 people remaining. But still, stupid moves are stupid moves.
Regarding the rest of the house, there wasn’t a lot going on. Lala cooked them all an amazing meal and this is while a big chunk of them are secretly talking about her behind her back. Some want to play pranks on her. Haley is desperate to nominate her. People want her on slop. Like, why? I have watched a ton of feeds and haven’t seen any issues with her so far. She’s been very pleasant and friendly with the entire house, so it just seems very weird. Not a fan.
Anyway, as I write this, house still sleeping so gives me time to catch up on other stuff. They say they’re on lockdown today, and since it was announced to the house, that can really only mean until Thursday. That can also mean a possible elaborate HoH comp. They have ruled out the wall, but I am not ruling it out. Having 10+ on the wall isn’t that rare and Thursday would be 14. But, we’ll see how the week progresses.
I think the moment has finally came that Devin’s is starting to distance himself with the info he’s giving to Angela and Dee, starting to not like the bossiness lol

She was pretending to be Lala and was mimicking her telling everybody to be quiet and stomping her feet and they all found it very funny even Lala

Way off topic but summer in Seattle and it’s 90° for the next 2 days when nights only dropping into the low 60s is not something this old b**** likes.
I know comparatively to a lot of you that’s nothing, but we have no AC. I’m grateful our deck faces North, but later in the evening is horrible. Then we have this poor cat that overheats and we really have no place for him to go to cool off so I have chilled some of his soft food to give him later.
I know, has nothing to do with big brother, I’m just bored as s***. I’m sitting in the air conditioned car wasting gas while my husband practices bowling. I can’t stand the noise inside the building either regardless of them having AC.

No AC is brutal at 90° and for me past 85 would be too much. And all the opening and closing of windows and moving fans is exhausting. I had a swamp cooler for 2 years recently and that was bad enough at our age.
I’m a dog person and don’t know much about cats, but could you wrap a towel or blanket around an ice pack of some sort to see if he’d lie on it or next to it?
Next week it’s not going to get higher than about 75 thank god. Mostly load ton mid 70s. That’s perfect for here. I’ll be out on my deck a lot tonight and tomorrow night for sure. Pumpkin does okay for the most part I put ice in his water dish and also we keep the fans going. I’m going to give him some of his pate later that I put in the fridge. Now that he’s older and not jumping up on the railings like he used to we let him out on the deck as long as we keep her eye on him. We’re on the second floor in a very heavy traffic area with lots of cars
@Kari That’s what we do after we get hit with a hurricane and we have no power We sit in our cars and waste our gas so that we have AC.
Of course I got home right when it starts getting muggy here right at 91°. Starting to drop a little bit now but I think I’m going to be moving outside of the deck really soon. We’re supposed to get more smoke from the fires around here the next couple of days so tomorrow night might be difficult if we can’t be out.

Yeah Barrett and Dee were flirting and he said she was his Survivor crush, but HG started noticing and someone told them to stop.
