Good morning, everyone!
It’s Saturday in the Big Brother house and there is one mystery floating around. That’s whether or not Drew got the power and why he didn’t use it if he did.
Let’s assume he did. This is because nobody got a punishment. Drew was leading in Big Brother Network’s polling, and he came out of the DR specifically mentioning one of the rewards (the HOH Takeover) and pretended to flip a coin.
Now, due to the way it works, it was unlikely he was going to use it AT the nomination ceremony. We didn’t hear the reading of the card, yet, but I would assume he would have a chance to use it after the noms and before the veto. This way he can see noms and decide if he wants to take it over or not. BB23, Tiffany did her full noms and then they broke up, went their way, then met in living room later on to do the final round of the challenge thing. They met up again in the kitchen where Tiffany flipped the coin.
So, there is still time for this to play out. Especially if they want to make it really anonymous because they’d need to casually call everyone into the DR and then wait a bit before having the coin flip ceremony. The only problem is time. That said, that’s not that big of a problem. Most of the veto competitions really just have to swap names out somewhere which is super easy to do. I’m pretty sure they have to make veto competition outfits for every person in the house each week, so it’s not like they can’t change noms today. In fact, they draw half the veto players on Saturday anyway, so they have to be prepared for anyone to play that day.
Why am I rambling about this? Because last night when I went to bed, I thought they kind of needed to get noms locked in to give costume designers some time, but they don’t need a ton of time. They can easily still do the coin flip today. However, once the veto players are picked, that’s almost certainly the deadline as there is no way they are going to pick players and THEN have a takeover.
I know a lot of people are asking about this and wondering how it all works, so that’s my best guess. If they pick players for the veto without the coin flip, then it’s locked in and Drew either doesn’t have it, or he made a massive mistake and really believed he was the pawn and decided to save it.
Sounds like Morgan was there for the veto. I saw somewhere that Mallory was flattered that Morgan called her the pipe queen.
I have a hunch that it’s going to be an interesting show this week.
Ahh Drew, what are you doing? Telling your alliance your going to out them? Should have used the power if you had it this week.
It might have been a night comp simply because it’s been so hot here.

Kinda hoping Lyric is the renom and goes home. I’m so tired of her and her messy ways. And her baby voice.
Drew is a smart kid for sure! He got a little sloppy and of course, Angela… but I don’t want him to go home at all. It pains me to say Melody, but only because I will miss seeing her lol.
Also, I’m so happy Taylor won! I’m glad she’s finally stepping up her game.
Not hearing that Taylor won because I refused to listen to Haley and Angela is my fault. Should have known they’d say.

Fun fact. Dee found out that pickles are made from cucumbers yesterday. She’s 29.
WUT. That’s crazy. I was blessed to have been brought up with grandparents who did all of the canning etc and Grandpa had an incredible garden. So I’ve known since I was tiny where they came from because grandma made them.
I remember my family canning stuff a lot growing up. One of the things they would do a lot was green beans. When we would cook them we would use some leftover bacon and bacon grease from breakfast that is insane.
Also this was not canning but my grandparents a lot would slice up cucumbers and onions and make a vinegar and sugar mixture and let that stuff soak in the fridge overnight I still do that today. I think I’m coming up with a couple ideas of stuff I’m going to have to do next weekend. 🙂
I was so spoiled with good food. Grandma would do the similar salad but use Walla Walla sweet green onions, lemon cucumbers and she made his a little bit more sweet not always with the vinegar.
I am glad they waited on Steve to finish Spiderman. My son saw it last night and really loved it. I am watching pets, this is sad at 10 pm on a Saturday night.

Near Seattle we have a theater that has $6.50 showings all day on Tuesday so we’re going to try to take advantage of that then.
So my daughter and her friends went to the theater yesterday for the 7:15 showing they got their 30 minutes before that. It was completely sold out, the next showing was completely sold out, they had to wait and go for the 9:45 showing and had to buy their tickets then and there (at 6:45) because those were almost sold out. I had no idea, but apparently they now have assigned seating so for them to all sit together they had to buy their friends tickets to make sure they could all be together.
My daughter said she would go back and watch it at the theater again in a heartbeat.

I know it has been veto before. But for some reason I think it has been both before.
The only one I can remember being after dark was also the wall but I think anyway? But that’s definitely an HOH one I believe because of the difficulties. I think we were just talking about this the other day.
I do believe the one where they have to jump into the water & mud then gather up letters to make up the longest correctly spelled word has also been done at night. If that’s what they’re doing, Melody will be the one to beat bc she has said several times she has the word ready that she wants to play.

I loved watching the Slip and Slide competition. It’s extremely entertaining.So I just googled it (yes Google is one of my besties) the last time they did Slip and Slide was in Season 25, In 2023. So I think we are way past due for that competition hopefully that’ll be the next HOH.

Oh no. Angela is just a guaranteed vote for D&D. If not for that I believe they would have let her self implode already. I’m absolutely not saying that they don’t like her, which is why I think they decided to “handle” her like they have. I believe they love her. Dee for sure.
I said several weeks ago that Dee is the Angela whisperer. It seems like Dee had to spend a lot of time talking Angela down off the ledge. But now it seems Devens has to do it also.
I’m not sure they love her but they’re both good game players and they know she’s a solid vote for them. Until she isn’t anymore.

I’m going to get bombed on for this comment but I’ll take Haley’s personality in this game over a Lyric type. ALWAYS. In real life a combo of the two. Balance is key for most everything. Neither of them seem to be very good at BB.
haley is way less bearable than lyric. she is literally just a snarky, self-centered, bully type. If I was a girl I would put her in her place real quick and humble her.

BB23: Coin of Destiny: For 250 BB Bucks, houseguest can play the “Coin of Destiny” competition and earn the right to challenge the reigning HoH to a coin toss. If they called the coin toss correctly, they would dethrone the reigning HoH and anonymously take over for the week as the new HoH, although the dethroned HoH would remain immune and could play in the following HoH competition. Claire Rehfuss won the competition and correctly called that the coin would land on heads, dethroning Tiffany Mitchell as HoH and taking her nominees Kyland Young and Sarah Beth Steagall off the block. Claire would then anonymously renominate Kyland and Sarah Beth herself.
I think here they do it without the bb bucks and in private, so that it is unknown… If Drew does have it, I would think he would use it when he feels he is in danger, right now he feels a little safe he can pull himself off the block with 2 attempts.. Now it would be funny if he waits till he is up for eviction to use it… Not sure if there is a time of use…

Claire was under the impression her and Tiffany had a final 2. Up until Tiffany had to evict her and explained to her why. (I had posted a couple days ago I think the video). It was one of the most heartbreaking scene you ever had to watch on BB.

I was trying to read up on how the coin flip worked last year and I believe if he had that it’s the HOH that has to do the coin flip if the coin flips in the favor of the HOH they stay the same if the coin flip does not go in the favor of HOH then the secret HOH gets to make the changes. So I’m thinking because Haley has not had to do the coin flip chances are that reward was not won.
Conversation we were having yesterday is he could possibly have the reward where somebody from another season plays veto with him so he has two chances to win.
If it is like last year the veteran player plays for them. They don’t both play.

Mystery Competitor Power: If they find themselves on the block, the person who wins this power will be able to double their chances at winning POV by summoning a former houseguest (later revealed to be Big Brother 20 (US) winner Kaycee Clark) to enter the house and take up one of the two randomly selected Veto spots. If the former houseguest wins, they will earn the POV on behalf of the player who activated the power.
So it is double they both competed correct?
I heard Dee and Drew were the two who were in DR around the time the time capsule usually gets played. If Dee doesn’t have it and Drew does and didn’t use it I hope Julie smacks him with her card when he leaves the house the way she did Zach last year.
I would think they would change that up so they wouldn’t figure it out. But, who knows?
Hopefully we’ll get some answers today but I’m inclined to agree with Ginger that we would have heard him talking about something by now. Unless production told him very clearly not to say anything yet. I wouldn’t put it past them to want to wait until the episode to let us know.
I can see any of them not telling it if they did the coin flip and lost, or if they got any of the other powers until they actually use it. It could potentially put a target on them just out of petty jealousy.
In regard to this power and if Drew does or doesn’t have it.
Maybe we’ll get some answers soon. It is odd that we have not got any clues thus far
I’m tired of everyone banging on about the Vets, how it’s not fair, blah blah. Maybe if the rest of the cast were actual fans who know the show like they say they do it wouldn’t be so one sided because it’s not like D and D have played it before. Maybe if the newbies actually stopped sniveling, played the game, had some balls, and didn’t get into fake a$$ showmances they would have had a chance? And while I’d love it rn to shake up the game, I don’t think Drew has a significant power, if at all. I think it’s possible he got the coin but the flip didn’t work out. I just don’t see Drew not spilling the tea to somebody by now. And I’m kinda bummed there’s not a lot of these people I even like this year. Yash, Chuk, Lala, Lyric (who should be on LI vs BB) are all duds imo along with one who already left. And some of the others are extremely unlikeable like Haley. I’m sticking around to hopefully see Dee and Devens take on the Red Corner, but other than that I think this season could be a bust.

Yes. D and D are newbies to BB. I don’t think either of them even watched the show until they went to sequester.
And Angela is not good at the game. They are all treating her like some BB genius, but need to stop listening to her.
Unfortunately if they didn’t watch (& I don’t think they did either) they don’t know Angela isn’t one they should listen too.
Supposedly they both watched her season but if they did I don’t know why in the world they would have thrown in with her. Literally the only thing that would make sense is they know she’d be easy to turn on later.
Dee supposedly watched Angela’s season. But since she doesn’t know the game she wouldn’t know how bad her strategy was.

That’s my worry, Drew thinks he’s chillin and doesn’t need it. He also might not want to show his hand making new noms not knowing his game is already blown. But I also think he might have told Devens unless he’s really starting to get a clue. If he does have it and uses it I really hope he wins because the look of glee on Angela’s face if he loses will make me want to vomit.
