Good morning, everyone!
It’s Saturday in the Big Brother house, and first off, I hope you all have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! That may be the unofficial end of summer, and the other unofficial end of summer is around the 22nd or so, but the official end is the season finale of Big Brother and we still have 26~ days to go!
Yesterday was a fun one in the house with Barrett putting on his big boy pants and taking real shots with his HoH when the idols really thought he would just go after the other side of the house. Dee, sensing danger mid-day, decided to take her shot, and honestly, it was a pretty good pitch. She told Barrett that he needed to get Yash out because Yash is going to go after him next. He literally HAS to go after them.
Her pitch is that by leaving him in the house, the biggest comp threat can only nominate non-idols (which includes him and FAP). She explains the BB Bribe to him, which gets debated later on (more on that), but there is one flaw in her pitch she failed to see. She explained the bribe to her ally TWO WEEKS after she locked it in. And the safety didn’t include him. That’s the Big Brother equivalent of ‘I love you, but I’m not IN LOVE with you’.
That made Barrett realize he now had to pick his poison. Either the trio that’s clearly locked in together, or the comp beast who is required to nominate him and/or Drew/Melody. I’ve thought this over and I really don’t KNOW the best decision for him here. I’ve watched a lot of this game and this is one of those situations where there is no clear choice. On the same note, it also means either path he chooses will have been the right one if he makes it the next two weeks.
Regarding the bribe, the trio decided to just cause some chaos and went into the HoH room to have an unofficial house meeting when they re-explained the deal to Barrett while in front of Yash. This caused Yash to lie and said the deal is only required for Dee and not the other two (wrong), but Taylor also joined midway and realized there has been a whole game being played while she slept in her pod.
Needless to say, a lot of people learned the truth about the house yesterday, and I think some of them (Taylor) are still trying to absorb it.
BB Comics today so feeds will be down for a solid 3+ hours when the comp begins. Just note that when people start getting worked up. Each person goes one at a time and I think they’re given like 30 mins each, so that alone is 3 hours, plus the setup between people usually adds another hour, sometimes two.
They’re being woken up now to pick the other two players. 2 of Drew/Melody/Yash/Taylor will join the noms and HoH to play. Let’s find out who it is…..
Melody was just pretending to like Drew (admittedly) while HOH and while she thought she could ride the coattails since she can not win ANYTHING EVER. Now that Barrett is sneaking in and getting the fake Melody “charm” it is really disgusting to watch. She would never date either one of them in real life… all fake.

Glad to hear that California is getting so much needed rain. Washington state is as well finally! Those fires have been horrible everywhere this summer. My dad has a cabin in the Blue Mountains over Walla Walla Washington and the whole area with cabins there was threatened. They managed to keep water on them and save the structures but the fire came within two feet of my dad’s place. The losses everywhere are incredibly sad. I’m also thinking a lot of Spokane Washington.
I’m glad they managed to save your dad’s cabin. But devastating for all the losses.
It’s been crazy. About the time it got to my dad’s cabin it shifted directions and went the other way. But there’s a neighboring community that’s incredibly beautiful just down the mountain but I think it was saved as well. They were pumping water on all of the cabins in the area. It was a miracle considering how big it was and how hard it is to fight other steep hills. Dad’s cabin is maybe an hour up the hill into Oregon from Walla Walla.
Can someone explain how this bribe really works?? Why can’t Yash just say take the $5Gs back and it reverses the bribe?
Once you accept it it’s like a binding contract.
I hope Drew is done cuddling with Melody and thinking she’ll be his F2. And I’m over Melody-who hasn’t helped at all-insisting Drew has to stick with their alliance. You and Barrett both have told him you were going to vote him out And Dee has put him on the block. I’m sure he doesn’t know who he can rock with at this point. Yes he shouldn’t have voted out Mallory but she was going to leave either way, get over it. Was he trying to maintain too maintain too many alliances? Yes but he has tried to be loyal to everyone he’s told he would be loyal too.
I think he could have swung the votes if he tried…
He was on the block too, first he had to win BBBB. And then I think his first loyalty was the Crossovers. Although that team has always been sus of him but he doesn’t know that.
If they’re smart enough to realize Drew is a threat then they need to be smart enough to pull out someone and put Drew in their place.
I haven’t been online all day really except for just a couple messages back and forth here. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do!
Husband and I headed back over to the planetarium at Pierce College in Tacoma and watched the Dark Side of the Moon show this week. That one was spectacular, and only $15. So if you all live in the Tacoma area or near, it’s worth the drive out to Pierce College Dome. They also have basic educational ones for only $8.
On BB. If one of the so-called icons has to go I’m hoping it’s Angela even though she’s not a threat. After this s*** she’s been pulling I’m just done. (And IDGAF who thinks I’m stupid and laughs at this comment. F-bombs directed at someone’s children is not okay. EVER!!)
They counted Devens out last week. I’m hoping he proves the naysayers wrong again.

Well, unfortunately, your “facts not opinion” were not facts. Barretts exact words were “It would be a dream to put up all 3 icons then take down angela and put up yash.” So no, thats not correct and the entire basis of that is wrong.
Drew has done nothing but be absolutely loyal to Barrett and he is using that to make Drew a scapegoat for his own benefit. Its absolutely not an innocent “im just playing for myself and Drew I just cant trust”. He knows damn well everything about Drew because Drew tells him everything and Barrett goes and abuses that to play In Drews face.
Every conversation they have Barrett immediately twists to Melody. Of course she doesnt trust him. Again, its been repeated ad nauseum but people still ignore it…. Drew. wanted. to. flip. on. Crossovers. FIRST. Barrett talked him out of it so that he could turn around and do it himself without Drew and tell everyone that Drew is stuck to icons and would never flip. I should have said this in my last post, should Yash pull down Angela, and have Barret put up Drew as the replacement nom? That way the most competitive of the other side have to get it done against the other two, while Angela sadly floats through another eviction knowing she has done nothing (other than her Veto win, credit her for that!) the entire game except cling to Survivor

Not only has Yash been doing a great job finding a way in this wacky game up until tonight, but he has really shown that he does NOT crack under pressure, BB Comics takes all aspects of a comp beast to win, athleticism and smarts under the clock without knowing how your competitors are doing. I think Barret and Yash should be the final two based on how they played the middle until it was time to make the break, and Yash beats Barret because he makes it happen when he need to to make it happen, and Yash juz follows his lead. This game got good this week!
Yash is definitely gonna win against anyone excellent Dee and Devens. I don’t like him but he is playing the game he thinks will get him there.

Honestly my dislike of Dee and Angela isn’t bc they are “icons” – it’s bc I don’t like them as people, period. Devens has his “dark moments” (like everyone else) but I actually think he’s funny and I wouldn’t mind seeing him stick around….he is a great gamer.
Decision that has changed the game is when Dee and Deven blindsided Mallory. 3 will become 2 and 1 of the 2 will be Angela. Don’t think a vet will make it to final 2. Need to win HOH or POV to keep safe.

I see a lot of comments about productions favoring the icons which is true to some extent. I do think they are good players and not everything was handed to them. But do you think production had a hand in convincing Barrett to make this move on the icons? I remember the day Barrett spent hours in DR. First upstairs and he was out for a short while and then called again to the downstairs DR. Right after that is when he started the serious talk about moving on the icons. Production talked him into this move against the icons?

I totally agree that Mallory is what got him thinking about splitting with the icons but not sure he had it in him to make this big of a move. The poor guy looks tormented since he did it. This kind of a move doesn’t look natural for him.
I honestly don’t really know what he expected… didn’t Mallory say she didn’t trust, Dee struck first, didn’t the boys even rat Mallory out? Why is he so surprised? Is this just him feeling guilty?

Up to now clearly skewed to keep the icons safe. After Devons took himself off the block he said on live feeds if I hand picked a challenge it would have been the one I got….duh…too many co-incidences IMO…..wish the players already out of the house were there…they would have fun now!
Dee has talked about the specifics of bribe in DR on show. I don’t think Yash has But not sure. I assumed production would not show Dee lying to us at home.
All 3 rewards were pretty much rigged for the icons.
The directions explaining how they worked were already placed in the chair before they even sat down to spin and pick a reward, or punishment.
The card telling them they won the audience vote was sitting on DR chair when they went in DR. When they went in the room with chair the big brother voice gave them the directions for playing (I remember because I hate the voice). Then once they hit a button after spinning for a while a “time capsule” canister was sent to them through some sort of pipe and into the arm rest of the chair and in there was a card that described the power or punishment they won. Are you saying any of that was different for the 3 vets because Angela got a punishment.

The bribe should have applied to 1 person being protected. Dee could’ve protected up to 5 people.
BUT . . . Dee could very well be lying about what she was told in the DR. I mean, what happened to “You’re not allowed to talk about production”? Wouldn’t she be breaking that rule if she told them the TRUTH about what production told her in the DR? So maybe, very possibly, Dee is lying and the bribe is not for all 3, but only her.
So I complained about Barrett being a couch potato all season and then he wins HOH and decides to throw a bomb in the house which was fine, someone needed to do it but I’m not sure what his thinking is now. That was me and it was part of what made season 20 so good. It’s mad that we all remember Rockstars part but Brett’s part in it is hardly remembered at all. I just remember his speech was the reason, not what he actually accused of her. Poor Rockstar was genuinely the victim lol
Brett is one of my favorite houseguests ever. Loved his humor and mischievousness. Rockstars crash out was chef’s kiss.
Drew going downstairs after talking to Barrett and telling Dee and Angela what he said is totally backstabbing Barrett. I hope Barrett catches on to what Drew is doing and where his loyalty really stands.

Drew was actually still kicking with Barrett even this morning and then Barrett turns around and didn’t pick him to play The veto after he promised him he would. Drew needs to cut those ties.
@LynnD Not only that, but Drew has been looking forward to and talking about this specific comp all season. Barrett knows that, and everyone in the house has been talking about how its likely this week that the comic comp will take place… so robbing him of that for no good reason is a real twist of the knife as well. Not that he owes it to him necessarily (though I think he kinda does), but blocking him for no reason… oof
I’m waiting for him to look at the camera and say “I’m paying them all back for you Mallory”. And if it costs him his game I hope the revenge was worth it for him.

Its clear you default to freaking out when you have an unpopular opinion. You can lie in the Diary Room too ya know? He’s trying to save face suddenly because it hit him like a ton of bricks that hes playing an uninteresting and bad game working for the icons. Him not winning the time capsule while the rest of FAP, especially Drew, did made that clear to him. Since then, hes been trying desperately to be more compelling, make more moves, and to put everything hes also been doing on Drew so that he can try to skate out from under the bs hes put together all season.
But I also think youre responding aggressively to someone whos not even saying the opposite of what you are. All he said was Barrett has been backstabbing Drew for weeks… It seems like you keep extrapolating peoples comments out 10 steps down the line from what they actually said and then replying to that instead of the actual posts
1st OF ALL NO NEED TO SCREAM AT US! Drew is one of the only few people that would have really actually had Barrett’s back at the end of the day (Yash definitely will NOT) so maybe he should have thought about that and if he didn’t want Drew to play in the POV, then tell him you would prefer him not to play and why. If this is the way you treat somebody you say you want to be at the end with then you are not somebody I would want to go to the end with. My hope is Barrett walks out that door a week from Thursday.

Dee & Devens are taking it very well. Still joking today. Way better than any other player on the block lately. But everyone says they are bitter and angry. Devin’s just got angry once and that was at Dee not at anybody else.

The last time Dee was nominated for eviction she stayed in bed all day and night with her black sunglasses on pouting, complaining, acting hateful, like a terrible sport… Then when Dee was HOH and her ‘buddy’ Haley would run up to the HOH room to tell her such n such was crying and taking being on the block very emotionally.. Dee would start laughing with intense glee and say “haha Too Bad”
I think sunglasses in bed beats screaming in the diary room but any reaction is ok in my book because I have no idea how I’d react in that situation so I don’t judge.
Just goes to show you pick and choose what you want to see & here. Last time Dee was on the Block she had told people I’m hanging in here to stay on the DL. She understood it was completely a game but she felt it wouldn’t look good if she was running around joking and laughing with everybody making fun of the fact she was on the Block and chose to just keep it low for a couple days. That’s what good players do.

Dee has not. The ONLY person throwing tantrums is Angela. Dee got a little annoyed at Devens yesterday but that’s it. But I DO think she needs to go over Devens because she’s already going once.

That to me is crossing the line that should lead to a player getting instantly expelled from the house. Physical violence, the threat of physical violence, putting housemates at risk, bringing someone’s family into things. Only things I consider instant eviction worthy. I know a lot think bullying tactics also but I always say they know where the door is . I don’t disagree with people’s opinion on it though.

I Never Said Any of the incidents of n****y, graphic sex on camera, or even lactating houseguests showing the others how it works personally offended me.. I was listing a litany of past BB seasons live on camera events for BB viewers today who had no clue as too how houseguests of the past made these houseguests look like the cast of a Disney or a Nick Show in comparison

Barrett is probably going to end up on the block next week either way so it doesn’t really matter who goes of D,D,A,Y. Yash is the best competitor so if he ends up on the block and somehow goes that’s probably a win for everybody. Except Taylor. And he keeps lying to her anyway. Only way Barrett is safe for sure next week is if Melody could finally pull out a win.
