It’s Friday in the Big Brother house, which means nomination day!
It should also be the last day we have all 1’s next to people (other than votes received) because it sounds like we may have two repeat nominees this week for the first time this season
As you can see, Kamu won HoH. And his nom plans are (currently) Lyric, Mallory, and Lala with Jason as the backdoor option. I’m not sure if that will happen because as I am writing this, he is currently trying to tell Lyric she is going to be the pawn and she’s having none of it. She’s doing her polite way of saying absolutely hell no.
Temu Paul is going to have an interesting week for himself because he badly wants Jason out, but his options are really limited due to his huge alliance. He’s going to have to put someone (like Lyric) up who doesn’t want to be on the block and will mark it down in her revenge notebook for later.
Lyric keeps tossing out names. Taylor.. no, she doesn’t have the votes to stay. Barrett? Nah he’s too chill and they want to get rid of him. This is the problem with trying to be fancy early on in the season because you either play games like this or you just show your cards.
On the same note, this early in the season, you also have time to fix mistakes, so this isn’t really a blunder or mistake. It’s just cringe listening to him keep telling her she’s going up and her saying no.
Quick programming note – I may be away for the day tomorrow. I’ll likely do a morning feed update thread and bean-bot and Lynn can hopefully keep you guys informed. Saturday is usually the best day for me to take afternoons off because the veto + post veto cleanup consumes 75% of the waking day.
Random note – last night was a wrestling themed comp that Kamu won. Ironically, it was a memory comp which makes it hilarious that Kamu won. I mean seriously?

Some of you will understand what I’m saying. I am really missing our sassy mouthed but yet fun-loving and at times strict “Jessica Rabbit.” We all know there’s some s*** that she would not put up with. My God I miss that woman!!
Yeah, NiK was passionate. She loved BB, and BB Junkies. I miss her too.
She was amazing and I miss her every summer. It just isn’t the same without her snark and teasing of all of the people in the game. She also didn’t take any rude crap off anyone that’s something I had so much respect for her.
Yeah, she didn’t like politics coming into the conversation, or us attacking each other; but she was down with being critical of the houseguests and (real or perceived) Production shenanigans.

I hate how people are chasing him down (They need to leave in the hell alone and photograph from a respectful distance) but it is crazy how fast has existence is getting around.

Jimothy is a minor miracle. Normally, in nature, mothers will let their deformed offspring die.
@AIO_7 I’m not sure why it won’t allow me to respond to freeze ray but yes, you’re right, most deformed animals are not going to be raised by the family the way he has been. I understand that it’s all over the place and it can get a little at nauseam sometimes but I think it’s really cool that he has survived and not only that he is flourishing. I love our wildlife I don’t care if it’s as small as a mouse or as big as our Orcas here. The PNW is something to behold.

First I’ve heard of the little fella.
It’s only been about a week since he was shared. Gone crazy viral. All kinds of art being made, one of our local artist that does cute cartoon characters of animals made a painting and it raised almost $7,000 for the food bank where the raccoon was found. Matching donations has jumped away higher than that. Some people are donating proceeds from tattoos etc to wildlife foundations.
If big brother had any brains about how to run the game they would’ve made the icons ineligible for it since they already had a free HOH win week 1. It’s so obvious there trying to make them win. Worst big brother start ever
I cannot agree more. Next week, guarantee Dee is getting a power/punishment. Probably power. I am getting over the icons coming back. If they have icons come back they should just do a whole icon season. Literally just the rich getting richer basically
Don’t think Devins is that well off. He never won any seasons of Survivor but I’m sure yeah he got some money for that. But as far as I know he just has a basic job.
Still competed on a reality show twice. Give others a chance thats the point I am trying to make. He made a decent amount 100k from Sia being favorite competitor on survivor. got earnings from what place he got in on survivor bc they pay if you make the jury

You said this last time that you respectfully disagree but yeah you can enjoy a season without having the icons getting everything they want every day they are in the house like its the show catering them now. that hoh in week one was so dumb imo they should have fought for safety with the new houseguests and all the houseguest compete for the hoh
I absolutely do agree with that. They shouldn’t have been able to get special treatment the first week.
I don’t think they care if they win the game but they’ve paid them to come so they don’t want them being evicted too soon. They want to get their money’s worth.
Well, guess what the thing is: they will eventually win; that’s the issue. When you keep giving people power, there is nothing you can do about it bc they have so much say and power in the house when nobody else has anything. Oh and Devens is a comp beast on top of that; he always has the numbers etc etc
I’ve seen people making the same prediction not only for big brother but Survivor, and it doesn’t always come out to be that. I think we need to let a few more weeks go before we really go that direction.
We will see. I do think production has a hand in a lot of stuff so I’m hoping you’re not correct.
Like, I really enjoy watching when it is competitive and a fair game, but NGL, it is looking like less of a fair game every day I watch the live feeds. In addition, are you basically claiming that the icons (since they probably got paid) will all make jury because it would have been a deal with CBS or something? Angela is getting a second shot at winning; that is a gift on itself.
BB isn’t giving it to them. BB giving Paul 3 weeks of safety on his season was unfair.
It’s Americas vote. And yes, they are popular and have large followings because of their status in the reality world, but people that feel like you do can go vote for the others and shouldn’t complain if they don’t participate.
Plus I truly believe that Angela won because people don’t like her, know she is not that great at comps, and hoped she would get the punishment. And that worked out.

I agree with Colby. I bet a lot of Angela’s votes weren’t because she’s a fan favorite but because they wanted to see her get a punishment.
I think a majority of the voting comes from people who only watch the show and not the people watching feeds so they only know what the production is showing them. Which sucks because it’s not always an accurate depiction.
Sooooo I think im in the minority on this. Give me vets over people that just want to up their insta followers. The challenge prime example. I would watch bananas and ck fight it out in their 80s.
I was just coming here to say the same exact thing I would much rather see the vets on these shows giving it there all then watching people just trying to up their Instagram followers lay around and do nothing and complain about it.

I don’t think saying it when there’s a relatively well-known Drag Queen in the house is a “nothing burger.” The houseguests may not know Jason was on Drag Race (although production does), but some (all?) of them know he does drag and certainly that he’s gay (and Kamu made the comment in front of him apparently). The article mentions there are also concerning social media posts.

Maybe I don’t know the whole story. My understanding is he just said he would not dress in drag, that it would not bode well in his profession..

Alot of people on socials are upaet about Kamu telling Lala she needs to lay off complaining all the time about the cleaning and trying to enforce a 10:00 p.m. bedtime policy. He told her these people were adults and if they wanted to live in filth she was going to have to let them. I’m glad he told her because it’s the only thing people have against her at this point. I think he did her a favor!

I actually hope Devens or Dee don’t win the Time Capsule Vote just because everyone assumes they will and seem to resent it. But, unless whoever does win loses the challenge and gets the punishment nobody will know who won (unless they tell it). Usually the powers have weeks before they have to be used or expire.
They better not. Like quit giving it to the people who are already at the biggest advantage in the game it’s so annoying. Like give it to a new player who has never played a reality tv show before I’m sick of it

I like to think I would be a vicious BB player, but I am a huge empath, and couldn’t be that mean to people I have to see and live with 24/7. I would be the first voted out for sure. Drew, Barrett and Chuk need an opportunity to build their resume. Sounds like a great plan to me.
