Amber very concerned about her future in the house

The first week of Big Brother 16 was about as boring as expected. Everyone is getting along, everyone thinks they’re going to win $500k by suntanning and occasionally eating glorified oatmeal as a punishment. People form stupid alliances and even the week 1 nominees hardly ever really campaign because neither believe people actually go home. Then the first eviction hits and things get real, and that’s what happened last Thursday. Joey walked out the door and players started to realize it won’t be all relaxation and competitions (like Devin or Caleb thought. One of them – I forgot who – said competitions are like 90% of the game).

Yesterday, Devin made the first big game move of the season (note: I said big, not smart) by removing Brittany from the block and replacing her with Zach. This is 100% due to the fact that Brittany went up into the HoH room a few nights ago and had about a 90 minute conversation with him, and managed to tug at all the right strings. She played the parent card, how she sacrificed so much being there and it would kill her to go home before the jury *. Devin not only bought that hook, line and sinker, but he even managed to get a crush on her. Yes, really. Tomorrow night you will suffer through Devin acting like Caleb around Amber (Joey really screwed up by not flirting her way off the block. It would have been easy).
* – People mention making it to jury quite often, and that is so they are guaranteed a summer of stipend by Big Brother. By being stuck in the jury house for a few weeks, they get a free vacation and are paid over $1k/week until the season ends. Those who go home before jury only get paid a few weeks, so making jury is a guaranteed $5k+ bonus
Around 11:06am on the feeds, you can hear Devin practicing his PoV speech, and some of the stuff he said was taken directly out of the mouth of Brittany during her plea. That is when I knew the feeds were going to be a fun watch, and I wasn’t disappointed.
At 1:35pm, the feeds returned from the PoV meeting and the house was in pure chaos. I sat there with my headphones on, quad cam going and trying to listen to one conversation with my left ear, and another with my right. It was madness. Everyone was talking about the wild PoV meeting and that is because Zach completely blew up during it. He called out Frankie, Hayden, Nicole, and half the house on stuff I’m not even sure he knew what he was talking about. It sounded like he just lost it and started ranting like a crazy person, and I beg CBS to show the entire meeting!
by 1:45pm, Zach was exposing the entire bomb squad alliance to Hayden who already suspected something due to hand gestures between Caleb and Devin during competitions. Hayden went to speak with the other people who were still downstairs, and also revealed something of his own. Amber, Caleb and Devin told both he and Nicole about the throwing botb plan and how they were safe this week. Amber denied it, but it did not look very good for her.
Fast forward to 3:06pm and you have the first real heated argument of the summer. Paola and Zach started recapping the situation, and then when Zach basically mentioned he felt safe, that pissed off Paola and the two started screaming back and forth how awful each other is. They eventually made up, but a lot of nasty stuff was said during this argument and worth the watch.
Things started dying out, but the house was still left in shock and trying to wrap their head around what happened. Devin and Caleb were in full damage control, Zach was trying to fix the stupid mistakes he made during the PoV meltdown, and Amber sat there like a ghost for a few hours.
Moving forward, Zach has so far been able to repair some of the damage and has gained a few points back on Paola. Here is where I currently have them sitting…
This could change the more Zach opens his mouth, but as of right now he is in good shape. Check back later for live feed updates. Let’s hope today is even half as eventful as yesterday!

I predict Zach will go home. He doesn’t have much of a social game—sleeps all day—and he blew up on pretty much everyone. The majority feel they have a better chance of winning against Poo Poo, who doesn’t seem able to do anything. Guys will vote to keep her. Not sure about Donny, since he seems to be the only guy not in the Bomb alliance. They also believe they have a better chance going to the end with Devin because everyone (says) they hate him. That doesn’t always work out. Amber and Christine will do whatever Devin and Caleb tell them to do and Nicole/Jocasta will follow their lead. No idea what Brittany–who says she hates Poo Poo –will do OR Victoria.
Zach’s biggest threat right now is Frankie – whom he least suspects. Frankie is out and about basically campaigning for him to leave and has major influence in the house. Sad that Frankie isn’t honouring the final 2 they had which I felt was legit =(.
I have a question, how does Zach have any chance of staying after blowing up the bomb squad and the deal that devin made with brittany? who besides cody is keeping zach?
On BBAD it looked like Frankie was throwing Zach to the wolves!

This is not about race at all. We had enough of that crap last year. Devin sturs up the pot and annoys people, that’s all. I would like to see Pow Pow leave because I don’t think she adds much to the game. Caleb gets on my nerves a bit too but he is harmless and doesn’t really bite. Come on Big Brother Production why not throw in BIG JEFF for a week or two lol?
I never understood why anyone who throw a comp. I understand if you don’t want to win HOH but to throw a comp that can help you get off the block….That’s insane.
There are too many variables to take people’s word for anything. Things change so fast that you always got to look out for #1.
Anyways, BB only gets fun when the alliances are revealed and the house is split in two. When that happens and people get nominated, they tend to jump ship to the other side which creates more drama.
The only problem is that in the past few seasons, the house wasn’t split evenly. One side always had the numbers. This time around i hope there’s like 6 vs 6 with Jacosta as a floater.
I don’t think Devin is violent, maybe just a little nuts. Im ready for a big shake up. I don’t like when everyone votes the same way.
These people get paid to be on the show?
I really don’t understand why people on the show and off the show think Devin is prone to violence. Has he threatened to physically harm anyone? Has he revealed any history of past violence? Even if you think he’s mentally unstable, why do you presume that would lend itself to violence? Amanda was unstable and she was a real bully but I don’t remember these conversations about her.

“Cuz he is black” Come on get a grip! I bet you are alos one of the few who think everyone hates Amber because she is not 100% white. The is not the case. I personally don’t care what color or nationality she is she is smoking hot with awesome t*****s! He game play on the other hand sucks! To allow Devin to over run her HOH and she just sat back and let him. you only get so many chances in BB to be HOH and make something happen, set up your own stratigies and get people working with you. To let that putz rule the roost and basically nominate 4 ppl he wanted made me loose any respect for her as a player.
You seem to be the one with the race issues and always trying to bring race into the picture! Devin is a nut, a bully and creapy and would be that way even if he was green!
But can you help me understand why people are afraid of him and/or think he’s prone to violence. What has he done to make people afraid he’s going to attack someone?
I believe it is no so much they are physically afraid of him as much as they are afraid of his threats when he says do this or that or you will be sent packing. He is mentally abusive for sure. I think that is more what people are talking about. I guess he is also on meds to keep his emotions in check and people worry he could go off or has the potential to become physically violent
I feel like the whole cast was on meds last season and I don’t remember this topic of conversation. I understand that racism is a figment of black people’s imaginations. Why? Because white people say it is. I just struggle to understand why people think Devin, in particular, is going to get violent.
Dan, I kinda agree with you but I kind of agree with Charles. I don’t believe Devin is violent. I don’t believe in stereotypes of any race. But I do believe people…especially from certain parts of the country, with certain backgrounds hmmm hmmm Florida do(Zimmerman who was also jewish like Victoria and from Florida) a state with a long history of anti-black racism… and many white Cubans also hold anti-black views as castro is mixed race or black and took away alot of the money and capital from rich white cuban capitalist. He actually trained black panthers and sended tens of thousands of soldiers to fight and train new black african governments against imperial forces and apartheid states.)
Do you not find any connection between victoria thinking devin is prone to violence, being from a similar background as jorge zimmerman? There really is no other reason than his skin color that one could believe he is prone to violence. Bear in mind Victoria admitted she had extended talks with Devin before making these statements. Stereotypes that people are taught from an early age die hard, even in the face of objective evidence otherwise. Now he does certainly display narcissistic and psychotic tendencies but so have many other bb players.
Come to think of it, as far back as I can remember the only people to ever make accusations that some other player was violent was always directed at a black male house guest. Tala accused Gary of being violent in their argument and claimed “he could have killed me”. In fact it seems like a racial stereotype talking point. What is more perplexing to me, is how the racial stereotyping is coming from Asian/non-white house guest aimed at black house guest.
The only two people I heard state devin was violent or more or less insinuate it have been the two jewish houseguest from Florida, Zach and Victoria. I am jewish and can confirm that these stereotypes exist and are widespread in the jewish community, especially in florida. I find this behavour of my own kind embarassing. the only way to end discrimination is to shine a light on it and talk about it and that it is wrong, you can’t sweep it under the rug.
In fact Dick Donato talked about anally r****g another female house guest (you can see it on youtube just type it in google), and burned her with a cigarette several times, he got into loud argument and banged pots and bans and swore and cuss but no one ever called him violent.
People are scared of him because he is a large african american man. People think he is violent because their parents never taught them that racism is wrong. I understand to a non-racist person it makes no sense, but racist people make no sense, that is why they are racist.

That is what I say. People always want to make a racial issue out of everything. I can’t think of exact names sitting here now but I recall a few white guys in the psst that were either violent or we all expected the to be at any minute. And of course the Hantz nut who got kicked off head butted or attempted to anyway didn’t he? He was violent and white. This dude wants to talk about Zimmerman and jews from Florida and all kinds of crap. I thought he was going to break out the stats and percentages or maybe a pie chart to prove that people are afraid because he is a large black man.
Me asked a question about why people think devin is violent despite him doing nothing violent. I simply explained some people in some regions of the planet have racial prejudices more than others. I never said they were true, in fact I said I don’t believe in them. Lets stop all this race talk and get back to the game.
ENOUGH ALREADY…..PLEASE!!! Devon is kinda crazy, we can all agree on that, right? Maybe it’s part of his gameplay, who knows? Maybe he’s actually the nicest guy in the world but he sure is playing a strange game.I hope he’s gone soon but I don’t want to see him implode on the show. the other players just need to step up their game and stop all the chit chat crap!
