Judd is one of the few superfans on the show this season, even though he’s not really portrayed as one on the CBS shows. Both he and McCrae know their stuff when it comes to Big Brother, and clearly weren’t recruited at some bar (*cough* Kaitlin). It is pretty interesting when you carefully listen to the words he says because right now he’s currently on the ‘other side’ of what production wants, and it’s showing.
Starting around 8:50pm, Judd came out of the diary room and was clearly angry for awhile. He basically let it slip he’s upset because he feels DR pushed Elissa to do this move, and he’s probably not wrong. Honestly, with the PR nightmare this season, if they can get in the head of Elissa to make a move to hopefully become one of the final 3, that’s a hell of a lot better than a final 3 consisting of Spencer and GinaMarie… both of whom had issues outside of the house for things they said inside. Their worst nightmare was Aaryn being the 3rd, but they don’t have to worry about that now.
I don’t believe they tell people how to vote, but it’s been said by numerous people outside of the show that when you’re in the house for so long, DR sessions can impact decisions. Imagine talking to the same group of people who would like nothing more than to see you walk out the door, and then talking to a 3rd party who happens to know the ins and outs of what everyone is thinking. Former winner Jun even said that sometimes when they ask you simple questions, you misinterpret that as them giving you a hint or suggesting something.
Anyway, I’m rambling. I don’t know whether the DR influenced Elissa, or how much it did. At this point, unless Andy gets flipped, it won’t matter anyway because Amanda will be walking out the door and there should be a few surprised faces Thursday night. Andy is already planning on blaming the flip on Elissa, but with Elissa giving up collateral to prove she’s telling the truth, Andy could be in trouble. I don’t think either McCrae or Elissa will believe Andy’s story, and if either of them win HoH during the double eviction, it’s a pretty safe bet Andy will be following Amanda to the jury house.
PS – I feel like this is the second or third time that Andy has had to make a game changing decision in the house. I guess it’s easier to be a swing vote when you play all sides of the house…
I’m not going to be able to update much today as I will be traveling to visit my parents who live a few hours away (very short notice). I will check the feeds tonight and probably write a recap post when I’m settled in, and I will also definitely be live blogging the eviction show whether I have to rent a hotel or not to do so.

The only reason I hope Elissa evicts Amanda is to really expose Andy. McCranda have already said they trust Andy more. If the vote ends up being 2 – 2 with GM breaking the tie, they’re going to think Elissa lied. If she votes with Andy and Judd, the vote will be 3 – 1. McCranda will know Andy lied to them.
It looks as like Elissa is screwed next week either way, so she might as well at least try to get some of the blood off of her and onto Andy. I just hope she wins HoH during DE, and Andy leaves. That would be my dream!!!!!

I have been cured of my BB addiction this season. Every time BB would be on I DVRed it and if I was home I would sit there and watch it, my husband and daughter knew enough to not bother Mom. Lol. This season half way through I stopped recording it and I now just skim the blogs. This season is full of bullying, scripted game plays, nose picking, crotch scratching and the rat dog thinking he is cool being a rat. Maybe next season I will check it out but til then thanks for helping me kick the habit.
Howard did not know how the game was played as he was not a fan.
He sat and went through a couple seasons on a DVD and that does not show all the back room stuff that make for an uderstanding of play.

I like Jeff a lot, but I was hoping when they asked him early on who he was rooting for he would have said Howard.
Last night on BBAD the HGs revealed that the week Howard was on the block Howard was called to the DR over 40 times.
This makes me think that production was working really hard with Howard on strategic moves to help him stay in the game. I was rooting for Howard, also. But, Howard would not make any strategic moves.
Howard was trying both control his anger at the racist remarks and trying to keep Candice calm over them. They never had a chance to play the game just because of their race. And that is where production should have stepped in. If they would have told the HGs a racist remark will get you a penalty nom you can bet this would have been a different season.
We know Demanda, Aaryn and GM would not have been able to keep their mouths shut. Kaitlin used the N-word but at least caught herself and I didn’t hear her use it again. Best thing that could have happened to Kaitlin was to get out of that house.

I don’t blame Judd. The producers shouldn’t try to convince, sway, badger, or talk anyone into their way of playing the game. That’s what went on in the DR. If the producers were offended by racist, bigoted rants, they should have stepped in when it all started and put a stop to it. The producers let it continue and have covered their backsides by posting a disclaimer at the beginning of the show. What a joke!
Whatever suggestions or hints Production gave to Judd, chances are

I’m with you Midwest Middie but I just think Judd is too stupid to see it. He has bad mouthed production on several occasions and I think he views it as a strike against his manhood to follow their guidance even if it would benefit him. He’s on the absolute bottom of the Externimator alliance … none of them would want him in their final two. But if he was with Elissa they’d both be out to break up McCranda and then it would come down to the final three fight for position. I do think Andy would be better off if he stuck with the Exterminators because he is obviously a genious compared to that band of nitwits and would no doubt outsmart any of them to the finale.
I think Judd is hesitant to go with Elissa’s plans because he has insider info from being in the jury house.
I’m not sure how though but I think he had a chance to speak to other house members about who wanted him out and McCranda were pretty insistent.

Me too, Charlotte. I always DVR BBAD and looked forward to getting up and watching it, but I have 2 or 3 nights taped right now that I haven’t even watched, and when I do, I fast forward through most of it. The fun just isn’t there anymore.

It’s time for Judd to wake up. He should make a bold move and jump ship and make up his own mind to vote with Elissa and become a member of a stronger alliance and potential more jury votes than letting GM tell him who to vote for.

I agree Yearbooks, very boring, but reading the tweets Brendon (Rachel’s husband) made on another blog the finale party may prove to be very different. He is furious at GM and posted…”Anyone that is going to take jabs at somebody else’s child has no place on BB. Might be good to evict Spencer, then 2nd eviction kick the rat to the curb. The order of evict will continue with McCrae, GM, leaving Amanda and Judd and Elissa, say Elissa wins and chooses Judd, putting Amanda in 3rd place and the jury choose between Elissa and Judd.
My reasoning for this order is to keep the jury house from having to deal with Amanda’s temper tantrums, and it gets her so close, she would be so full of herself then bam! Elissa chooses Judd and Amanda has nothing and Elissa finally gets revenge for all the horrible things Amanda said about her family!
Amanda has had her epiphany moment. The temper tantrums are over. She is now into her redemption phase. Don’t forget how much production is involved in all of this.

Judd and Elissa were never working together. The Second day Judd was back, during a late hour session with Andy and Spencer in the backyard Judd told the guys that Elissa blew him off and wasn’t listening to a word he was saying. He said he would yes her to death because the person back in the house is usually voted right back out and he was trying to prevent that. His allegiance was always with the guys. GM was fortunate enough to stay up late at night and that is how she became part of the exterminators. If McCrae was hanging out with them instead of wetting his whistle with Amanda in bed all the time, he too would have been part of this group. This is not the first time that I have mentioned this. If you all are watching the feeds how could you have missed this?

Dear Angel, that idiot made fun of me too when I mentioned I went to weight watchers because I had a problem with food. Keeping the weight off is harder then losing the weight because we have to alter our personality and behaviors to accomplish this. I find that exercise and constant movement is integral to keeping my weight off. You should be extremely proud of yourself for a major accomplishment that is extremely difficult to achieve, and you did it. Good for you!!!

I wouldn’t take my wedding rings if in the BB house. Have you seen those goopy, slimy messes some of the comps are in. Could lose a diamond in that stuff. I have good fakes I wear on vacation and in certain situations where I could lose my rings or they could be stolen. I am sure Elissa has beautiful rings she doesn’t want to lose. That still would not make her deal with Amanda insincere. It is wild how this game turns enemies into allies. The best part of BB is how unpredictable it can be. Fans should be rejoicing that the most boring season ever is finally having some twists. Not a McCranda fan at all. But a girl has to do what she can to stay in the game. No one else has even attempted to play this game except Elissa.
If Amanda took it without permission it would be returned but Elissa has freely given it so Amanda does not have to return it. Amanda has given Elissa a pair of diamond earrings as proof they will keep her safe through the DE so if it all blows up they will probably just exchange the items back.
Rev, I said the same thing in another post. Who’s to say its her real ring. My neighbor use to travel a lot and always wore a fake set when she did. I asked her why and she said in case she lost them, it didn’t matter because her real ones were at home. Maybe Elissa wore a fake set because she was coming into a house of strangers, and you never know if there are thieves among you or not. I would never carry any real or expensive jewelry into a situation like that.

It’s obviously a fake. First of all, if it’s the diamond ring, it’s her engagement ring, not her wedding band (and she still has a band on her finger). Second of all, Amanda is a m***n if she thinks that someone as well off as Elissa’s husband would give her a white gold ring… Hello platinum!
Most wealthy women have a real and fake ring, anyways, so that the real ones don’t get stolen. I’m pretty sure Elissa’s real diamonds are sitting at home with her hubby.
And if they are expensive rings, it makes sense to go into the house with fake ones, if only for insurance purposes. Going into a house with 16 strangers, makes sense not to carry anything of real value, in case of theft.
ok jannie then what was your stance on Dan giving his grandfather necklace to Ian to secure he goes to final 2. It happens in BB, it just goes to show that if you are willing to put your word on your wedding ring that it is a true promise. She obviously cares a lot about her wedding ring and that is why she swore on it not the other way around, it was to show how committed she is to her promise that she would swear on something so near and dear to her. It wasn’t a present it was a show of faith, I think you missed the point. And also to include an entire generation is a shame because I am 28 and my wedding ring is my most prized and loved material possession. People come in all races, shapes, ages, and religions so to make a generalizing statement like that is just as bad as what the HGs are doing this year.
TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!! Dan and Ian had been working together practically since day one. They had trust almost from the get go.. Dan and Ian did not go around trashing each other. Dan never said he wanted Ian dead or said horrible things about his family. Ian never claimed to be a “good person” 50 times a day while following it up with Dan being such a “bad” person. Ian and Dan never complained at every turn that they hated each other to anyone who would listen – just hours before exchanging their undying trust and gifts to each other!! And I don’t think that either Dan or Ian was influenced in the DR to form their relationship.

You comments are ridiculous! Perhaps people should put value in the actual commitment of marriage and the love and respect of their partner, not on some material hunk of metal and gems! The wedding ring is simply a western custom created by the jewelry industry to generate profits. it has NO bearing on the physical and emotional connection once has with their partner or how much they value their marriage! I am a married woman and could give two hoots if I didn’t have a ring. All I care about is the love commitment and trust the two of us share. Just my humble opinion

While I get what you are trying to say with all of this, I don’t get this last one. You have been married longer than I have been on this planet….I am 24. I would consider myself a member of the “younger generations” you talk about. I have been married for 5 years, and while I realize that is not that long in the grand scheme of things….I still value my wedding rings more than my tongue ring…yes I have one. I personally wouldn’t use my rings as collateral for anything so I understand what you are saying, but to insult such a large group of people because a few people don’t agree with you….that makes no sense!!
The truth is, it is Elissa & her husband’s marriage, not yours, not mine and not anyone else’s. if in fact it was her real wedding rings she chose to use as collateral, that is something she and her husband can work out. Women pawn their wedding rings all the time just to get them out a couple of weeks later.
My point is, it is her ring…she can do with it what she pleases. I understand the value you place on your ring….but that doesn’t mean the rest of the world places the same value on a piece of jewelry. After all, it is the relationship it symbolizes that really matters. And to belittle the rest of the world that is younger than you because a few people dislike your comment on a blog….seriously? My parents were married for 57 years and didn’t give two sh&ts about their rings. Their children were the proudest and most treasured of all their accomplishments. A ring is just a thing. We were living proof of their love.
friendlybums, if you need a “reminder” that you’re in a committed relationship, then you’ve got serious problems. And, again, I doubt seriously that the ring Elissa gave to Amanda was her actual wedding ring, and if it was, it’s expected that it will be returned to her. It’s a “gesture” of trust and loyalty — whether it’s between Elissa and her husband for a lifetime, or it’s between Elissa and Amanda for a few hours, days, or weeks.
Just curious do you all realize the meaning of rings? It is not a tradition just started as one stated, nor has it begun by jewellers. It has been around for tbousands of years and has very profound meaning. A circle symbolizes a never ending commitment. The diamond symbolizes a promise that backs up this never ending commitment by the 7 colors in the diamond. Which by the way are also found in the rainbow which is a symbol of a never ending promise by God. 7 is also a holy number, or lucky if you wish, which means this commitment is holy and should never end. Just think about that so when you want to argue at least you have some facts as to why some may be more offended if she actually did do it.
Actually the meaning behind wedding bands is fluid throughout history and dependant on culture. The exchange of wedding bands weren’t popular until the 20th century. Before, it was only the woman whom was in the receiving end. It was also symbol if exchange of valuables like dowries, mules, coins etc. rather than love and devotion. The history argument of it being a traditional symbol of love and devotion, is a little bit of a hyperbole.
Well Jannie i believe her ring means alot to her. If its her real ring! She probably wanted to insure Amanda of how serious she was about being on her side. We dont know what her financial status is and it is not none of our business but money can help a family more than a ring can. If its her real ring she might be so sure of the votes that shes not afraid of loosing it. Shes sure Andys on Amandas side. Even though we all have our opinions we have no right to judge.
Just maybe this was talked out before hand with her husband. If she found herself in a spot, do what you need to. Who are we to say?

I’m not sure you understand the idea of collateral. Elissa gave Amanda that ring with the understanding that if she went back on her promise, Amanda could keep the ring. If she keeps the promise, Amanda gives it back.

There’s no way they’ll honor a F3 deal with her, knowing that she’s won more competitions than the both of them, and has at least 3 gaurenteed jury votes to win, maybe even Aaryn’s as well. Elissa doesn’t know about the exterminators, and she thinks she’s working with GinaMarie, so there’s really no reason she should want to aligned with McCranda now.

I am not an Amanda fan, but she has pulled so much off in this game. She is playing with adults and if they were listening to her and just doing what she wanted shame on them. I want Elissa in the final three. Andy, Spencer and yes GM can leave anytime. That leaves Amanda, Elissa, Judd and McCrea to duke it out.
That’s my favorite line-up, too.
Switch out Judd with Andy (he’s played a great snake game, gotta give it to him) and that’s exactly what I want to see happen.

I would prefer the F4 to be Elissa, Judd, McCrae and GM, because GM proved to be the one who had guts to put McCrae and Amanda on the block together–making sure that the showmance would be broken up. I can also say that each of these have done something during the show that made me think they were unworthy of winning, but I feel they were the only ones who were not downright uncaring (well, on occasion GM did show her nasty butt)!
I know people are totally going to hate me for saying this but if Amanda makes it to F2, she deserves to win.
I hate to say it but she did play a game. Yes, her game play is awful, and when I mean awful, I mean cruel and tyrannical. She’s a bigot, a misogynist and plays dirty as hell. Watching this game play out reminds me of being a kid sitting around playing “would you rather…”. It goes like this “Would you rather be buried alive or fall forever and ever? Would you rather die of thirst or drown?” You get the drift. Anyway, Darla, Buster, Lilbit and Pete I am picking one today, after fifty years I’m finally jumping in. It is the one that made my skin crawl. Made me go home and sit by mom and watch a soap, which I hated! (Loved mom, hated soaps).
